Q
I am having problems installing the USB Pod driver?
A
If you have tried to install
it automatically and have had
problems, try restarting your machine.
Check
in your device manager (from start button select Control Panel, then
select system/hardware and you should see the Device manager). The
PoolMate USB pod should appear under Ports as PoolMateUSB pod COMx
(where x is a number). If there is a yellow exclamation mark by it or
no COM port
you may need to do a manual install. Here are
instructions.
Note
that is you have an XP64
bit machine you need to use folders Common32/XP32/Common32 rather than
the 64 bit versions. All will be clear when you work though the
instructions.
Q
I can't see the Link Icon?
A
Make sure you have installed and run the link application, from Start
button select All Programs then expand the Swimovate Ltd folder and
double click on PoolMate Link. If the Swimovate folder is not there you
need to install it. Go to C:/PoolMateSetup/PoolMate Link and run the
setup.exe. If you still cant see the Icon in the
system tray on the bottom right of your PC it may be hidden. Click on
the arrow
to the left of the icons
and it should appear.
Q
Hovering over the Link
Icon shows Pool-Mate port: NONE and data wont download?
A
Make sure the
Pod is
plugged into a spare USB port. Go to Control Panel/Device manager and
expand the Ports tab. If the USB driver program is installed properly
it will show Pool-Mate USB Pod (COMx) where x is a number. If it shows
anything else or has a yellow exclamation mark next to it then it isn't
installed correctly. Firstly try restarting your machine, if you have
the same issue you will need to do a manual install. Here are
instructions
Note
that is you have an XP64 bit machine you need to use folders
Common32/XP32/Common32 rather than the 64 bit versions. All will be
clear when you work though the instruction.
