We are busy designing new advertising materials, marquee, flags and banners for our outdoor events this summer. We are really pleased to be sponsoring Ellie Faulkner and amazing young swimmer from Sheffield.
Ellie won the European Junior Open Water Championships in 2009, has the 400m Freestyle British Age Group record and is a rising star. She finished second behind Rebecca Adlington in last months GB champs and already has bronze medals from the 2010 Youth Olympics. Needless to say 2012 holds lots of opportunities and we hope the qualifications and selections go well. r now. Those of you who have swimmers for kids can appreciate the commitment from all the family to support those 5am training sessions. I heard that swimmers are the first in their class to get their own car once they turn 17 (parents are desperate for a lie in!).
We got some amazing photos at Ponds Forge with top swimming photographer Simon Wright from GBswimstars.com. Simon is the king of underwater shots and despite time pressures and a huge audience he kept his cool and delivered just what we wanted. Some of the shots are on the website already but more will follow.
There is a buzz in the Swimovate office now and we are moving into larger rooms next week to make things easier. We can finally talk about our exciting news about our partnership with Speedo too. Press release can be downloaded from www.swimovate.com/press.html.
So all set for a great summer, I just hear we won a big award too! Can’t mention it just yet until publicity shots are taken next week but it’s really exciting times!
